Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) and Project Based Vouchers (PBV)

Previously known as section 8 program, HCV offers housing assistance through vouchers that families can use with any participating landlord. Wait time can be from 2 to 4 years once application is submitted. PBVs  provide rental assistance to eligible, low-income families at privately-owned units. Tenants pay 30% of their income or rent and utilities while home creates a contract to cover the rest. annual income and household sizes are considered in the application process which typically takes 2 to 4 years to receive approval.

Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS)

program for individuals receiving housing assistance through HOME experiencing a change in life circumstances that is designed to help participants become economically independent.
